    Application for Non-Degree Student Status

If you are interested in enrolling in a Public Health course without matriculating into a degree program, please submit the following application to express your interest. After your application is approved, you will be contacted by the PHPD Registrar's Office with further details to complete your registration. A maximum of 6 credits (two courses) taken as a non-degree student may be applied toward a PHPD degree if the student later matriculates. A grade of B or better is required for a course taken as a non-degree student to be applied toward any PHPD degree.

    Deadlines

Applications must be received 2 weeks prior to the start of classes for the semester which a student wishes to enroll. After your application is approved you will be contacted by the PHPD Registrar with further details on the registration process. Registration is open on a seat-available basis during the following timeframes:

Registration for the summer semesters begins in early April and ends prior to the first day of the Summer I semester.
Registration for the fall semester begins in early June and ends prior to the first day of the fall semester.
Registration for the spring semester begins in late November and ends prior to the first day of the spring semester.

Please see the PHPD Non-Degree Student website for further details on registration and the non-degree experience.

Current Tufts students who wish to take a PHPD course as a non-degree student during the summer semester should not complete this application. Instead, contact the PHPD Registrar directly at phpdregistrar@tufts.edu
